SPIRIT CIRCUITS SAVE PCB JOBS IN SOUTH ENGLAND
After working together for nearly three decades, business men Eddie Underhill and Ian Parker have decided that the time has come for them to retire from managing Hampshire-based Aztec Circuits.
In order to secure on-going employment for their highly skilled workforce, the pair has taken the decision to sell Aztec Circuits to established local manufacturer Spirit Circuits.
The move will strengthen Spirit Circuits’ position and secures the future of British PCB manufacturing in the South of England. Managing Director of Spirit Circuits, Steve Driver, commented:
‘Spirit continues to hold its own as a UK PCB supplier. We’re in a good position to expand our team- this acquisition is very timely, and should protect us from the economic downturn over the coming months.’
Steve also explained that job protection is high on the list of Spirit Circuits’ priorities:
‘We’re very pleased to bring the Aztec team on board. These people have years of experience and it’s important that we keep that within the industry. We’re always keen to recruit the best people so that we can continue to offer our customers service beyond expectation.’
